I don’t have a clue what just happened….And I love it.

Sometimes you just want to sit back, watch a game, and enjoy seeing kids having fun. With most of the sports my kids play, I have a pretty good understanding of rules and mechanics, which keep me dialed in so i can help when needed. Then came soccer. The soccer knowledge I’ve gained over the last se

veral years can be attributed to the dad’s sitting around me kindly answering me when I say, “What was that whistle for?” or “What just happened?”
The truth is, I kind of like not fully understanding a sport both my kids play. I get the gist of it, if a ball goes in the goal, it’s a point. As long as they are surrounded with people that know what they are doing, I’m content to sit back and relish watching them have a great time playing a fun game that I never played.
If you have a son or daughter that wants to try a sport you don’t have a clue about, I urge you to let them try. Surround them with knowledgeable people and who knows, maybe they fall in love with the sport.
Good luck
